Infrared sauna, Luxway Nordic Glossy for one person

Here you can lock behind you and enjoy a moment of peace and quiet.

Shut off troublesome news, the radio commercials and chatter - calm down, breathe easy and regularly, preferably through your nose both in and out. Take the time to relax, meditate and allow yourself to just be in the present.

The glossy has a glass frontend, above back- and side heaters, that consists of Infrared Carbon Wave-panels with effect lighting, reading lamp and the sauna-ceiling is lined with color therapy in the shape of a starry sky that shifts in various colors or the color of your choosing.

Infrared sauna gives full body heat therapy from head to toe while sitting down.

Through the infrared light waves the material is heated, meaning the body, bench, floor and the heating is indirect. It will take some time to lower the temperature but if you feel too hot you can simply open the door and allow some air in, without losing the effect of the IR treatment since the effects last if the sauna is on.

The body will be at least as warm in an infrared sauna as a traditional sauna, even though an infrared sauna maintains a slightly lower air-temperature. In an infrared sauna you normally sweat more, and the sweat process happens differently in a more profound way.

Infrared light can act soothing for various forms of ache and stiffness, feeling cold, clearing toxins, ease skin irritation, improve metabolism and fat burning as well as acting positively for the lymphatic system etc.

Start with a lower temperature, medium setting the first time and gradually increase heat. You can at any time open the door to cool off. Even if the door is slightly open, the IR will have an effect.

Infrared sauna - how does it work?

A lengthy infrared sauna produces energy waves that, as closely as possible, replicates the body's own radiation energy. This makes it possible for us to absorb as much as 93% of the infra waves that hit the body. Being exposed to infrared rays for an extended period is harmless and does not cause skin or eye irritation. Infrared heat is natural, healthy and the infra energy waves that provide us with heat from the sun and our body emits and reflects infrared energy waves. Read more on the tab with links.

Longwave infrared light can directly penetrate through the body's soft tissue to a depth of 4-5 centimeters. The infrared energy from an infrared sauna makes it possible to sweat up to 2-3 times more than a traditional sauna despite being in a cooler temperature.

This creates several positive effects. The deep heating of muscle tissue and internal organs leads to increased blood flow through expanded blood vessels and stimulated heart activity. It generates positive effects for muscles, joints, and heart vessels-stamina. Infrared light resonates with our cells and the fluid we have in our bodies, which contributes to releasing fluid from the body by starting a powerful sweat which gives a deep and efficient body detox through the skin.

Again, we remind you of the importance to hydrate before and after a session with IR treatment and to begin with a lower temperature and gradually increase when you are acclimatized and aware of your body’s reaction. It should be pleasantly sweaty, and you achieve effect with the infrared light energy even at lower temperatures, but to clear out toxins you need to start the sweating process.

Difference traditional sauna/steam sauna and longwave infrared sauna

A traditional, regular sauna heats the air around you, warms the musculature superficially and you start sweating more rapidly. Often water is used to create steam and you can without problems sit down freshly showered in a regular sauna. Many experience some difficulty breathing in it.

20% of an infrared sauna is directed to heating the cabin, the remaining 80% is dedicated to warm your body in a profound way and the sweating process could take longer compared to a traditional sauna.

In an IR sauna you should be dry when starting to sauna and you can definitely sit down in the cabin well before fully heated, so your body follows the increased temperature.

IR sauna provides comfortable heat that often is easier to breathe in.

The energy in an infrared sauna makes you, despite lower temperatures of 45-55 degrees Celsius, sweat 2-3 times more than a traditional sauna - hence the importance of hydrating properly both before and after the sauna, it is okay to drink water during the session should you need it.

IR sauna expends a minimum amount of energy and is thereby cost-effective and friendly to the environment.
